Hi-Tech Beauty-Buster Fixers
Whether your problem is thinning hair or acne, there are a few hot, new products on that claim to take away everything from wrinkles to too much hair. The products use some of the same technologies that a dermatologist may have used on you -- lasers, LED lights, and infrared light -- and you can use them all in your own home. But do they work? "These products provide at-home versions of procedures typically performed in a doctor's office: light treatments, laser hair removal, or chemical peels," says Linda Wells, editor in chief of Allure magazine. "In terms of at-home treatments, this is just the beginning." Wells and some Allure staffers visited The Early Show Wednesday and reported on the effectiveness of products the staffers tried for several weeks.

Andrew Walter made a lot of mistakes, many of them understandable, in his first NFL start Sunday, but his biggest error came after the game, when he defended Randy Moss' weak afternoon. "I think Jerry Rice dropped a couple of balls,'' he said. "We can't get on a guy for that. He's going to make more plays than not.'' Where do we start? First, dropped passes weren't the problem. Moss halfway gave up on one ball, and didn't fight a defensive back on two more. He sauntered to the huddle several times, with all the enthusiasm of a shift worker punching a clock. He did drop a pass once, when he had to wait for a late throw from Walter and, as a result, absorbed a big hit from Browns free safety Brian Russell. It would be terribly unfair to blame that drop entirely on Moss ...
National Gallery gets $2M donation
The gallery announced today that Audain's donation will be used for the endowment of a chair in indigenous art. The money comes on top of the $2 million Audain donated to the gallery last year for the acquisition of Canadian contemporary art, with special emphasis on works by aboriginal and British Columbia artists. Those are just some of the millions Audain has pumped into the Canadian art world. Just a few weeks ago the Audain Foundation, a major force in the B.C. visual arts world, handed $1 million to the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, which is to open in Vancouver next May. .

Orton told him that if he suffers a pec injury later in an arm wrestling contest against Mark Henry, he'll still have to fulfill his match at No Way Out.
PARRISH ALFORD: Rebels load up with runners
If you had any trouble identifying Houston Nutt's preferred style of offense while he was head coach at Arkansas, his first Ole Miss recruiting class can help you out. Nutt expressed great excitement Wednesday over the running backs he signed and figures there might be another Darren McFadden or Felix Jones in the making. The class has four running backs -and would have had five had South Panola's Darius "Tig" Barksdale chosen to sign. On signing day, it became apparent that Barksdale didn't give himself a very good chance to qualify academically, but that news was offset in a big way when Nutt landed former Auburn signee Enrique Davis (6-1, 215). Davis was a Parade All-American out of Lynn Haven, Fla., in 2006 but attended Hargrave Military Academy.
